Food for thought

Let's see
comin' out in the town
where I'd resided
for most of
my 38 years at the time.

It was a challenge
to hold my head up
for a new lifestyle in front of so many people
that knew me as one way only.

Which is to say
they mostly didn't know me at all.

Still admitting to an alternative love and lifestyle was daunting.

Not looking for a medal.

Just hoping to open a dialogue...
